Chamber Relaunch

Our meeting last Tuesday was a huge success in part thanks to you,  with 65 members attending the meeting in the excellent venue of the Masonic Hall, Green Room.

All 8 members of the Committee were in attendance at the meeting, mingling with our member businesses who enjoyed the evening.

The First speaker, Mr Bill Cullen, Deputy Chief Executive of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council gave a very slick and professional presentation of all the development areas in Hinckley under construction including The Crescent and its potential for the Town.  He discussed with aerial views future development areas, with exciting future key regeneration opportunities and initiatives. This encompassed car parking in various parts of the town, including ideas for the areas at the top of the Town i.e. Upper Castle Street/ New buildings etc which have at the present time inadequate parking which is a concern for some of the excellent independent businesses situated in these areas. Bill spoke to members about the dramatic technology changes in retail sales and discussed Hinckley Digital Town initiatives.
